what is otaku?!?
otaku! is a new dropdown for comics that are true fans of anime, manga, and all things japanese. This is very similar to the Keen Manga strip (which is now closed I believe).

what do you mean by "fan of anime and manga"?
When we speak of a "true fan" we aren't trying to be too discriminatory, it is merely a term we use for people that know a bit more about anime and manga than you everyday run of the mill joe. While series such as DBZ, Pokemon, Outlaw Star, and Gundam Wing are currently very popular, we are speaking of a much more broader sense of anime. We will judge each strip on a strip to strip basis, but just for your info, like Keen Manga, seeing and copying the style of DBZ or Pokemon doesn't always cut it to make this list.

If you would like us to look at your strip to see if you would fit in or not on the last please send us an email here. Please keep in mind that it may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for a reply, depending on our busy we are.
